Each day the answer is either a book or an author â the first clue tells you which. Guess it in 6 tries. You start with one clue; each wrong guess or Skip reveals another, working from broad hints toward the title or name.
Solving on try 1â6 earns 12 / 10 / 8 / 6 / 4 / 2 points. Miss all six and you earn 0.
Reveal the Bonus clue (tries 1â3 only) and the day's score is halved.
Play streak counts days played in a row. Correct streak counts days solved in a row. Complete a 7-day cycle to earn 7 points, or 14 if you solved every day.
Bookly is a free daily literature guessing game. Each day there's one mystery book or author, the same for every player, from nearly 400 classics, bestsellers and the writers behind them.
Each wrong guess or skip reveals another clue. For an author, you'll learn what kind of writer they are, what they're best known for, their era, nationality and a notable work and a hint about their name. For a book, you'll get its form, genre, when it was published, its setting, what it's about, who wrote it and a hint about its title. Clues are shuffled every day, with broader hints tending to come first and the strongest ones last.
You have six guesses. Solve it on your first guess for 12 points, or 10, 8, 6, 4 or 2 points on later guesses. Stuck early? The optional bonus clue adds a helpful hint chosen for that answer. It's available during your first three guesses, but it halves that day's score.
Play every day to grow your play streak, solve every day to grow your correct streak, and play seven days in a row for a cycle bonus of 7 points, or 14 if you solved all seven. Your Bookly results also count towards your combined Streakly totals and milestone badges. A new book or author arrives every day at midnight UTC.
